About Cara
Cara Marinucci, LPC, FAMI, NADA Registered Trainer
Cara is a Licensed Professional Counselor who grew up exploring the outdoors with an abundant curiousity for the natural world in all it’s diversity. Moving from the snow of Rochester, NY to the sandy beaches of Ft. Lauderdale, FL to the rolling hills of Switzerland of Ohio provided a physical journey that engaged her innate sense of adventure and a connection of the inner world to the outer world. Cara brings that experience into her work as she shares her passion for “living the questions” that present on the journey while immersing in the active process of living one’s life.
Cara is in private practice in Charlottesville, Va and has over seventeen years experience working with adults, adolescents, families, groups, and organizations to facilitate successful transformation and growth. She has an extensive background providing and implementing services across the spectrum of wellness and clinical care, including work with organizations and schools. This has given her an appreciation for the many ways people can access resiliency, create solutions, and develop their capacity for change. She is a Fellow of the Association for Music and Imagery and a supervisor and assistant trainer for the Mid-Atlantic Institute for Guided Imagery and Music. Also, she is a Registered Trainer and Acu-Detox Specialist of the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association.
Cara enjoys the beauty of Virginia from the mountains to the ocean with her partner and their three dogs and two cats. She is a poet, enthusiastic reader and music listener, and a labyrinth caretaker.
