THE BONNY METHOD OF GUIDED IMAGERY AND MUSIC (GIM)
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM

  • Music-centered experiential approach rooted in Jungian, Client-Centered, and Transpersonal theory.
  • Transformational approach utilizes music to evoke a variety of images, body sensations, emotions, memories, and inspirations that can help a person move through difficult issues, and reflect more deeply on their life’s journey and make choices that result in a more meaningful life.
  • Content of the training includes learning skills for guiding sessions with clients presenting with a range of personal, career, relationship, health and spiritual issues.

istock_000003477789xsmall.jpgThis Training is Appropriate For: counselors, social workers, psychologists, music therapists, expressive arts therapists, integrative medicine practitioners, physicians, nurses, school teachers, bodyworkers and energy healers, life and business coaches. Guided Imagery and Music can be used as a primary modality or as an adjunct in various settings including private practice, hospitals, community mental health agencies, hospice care, and schools.

Training is offered through the Mid-Atlantic Institute for Guided Imagery & Music. All levels of training are approved for Continuing Education for counselors through NBCC; music therapists through CBMT; and can be obtained as needed for social workers through VCU School of Social Work. We will provide certificate of completion of contact hours for psychologists, nurses, integrative medicine practitioners, life coaches, school counselors, and teachers, in lieu of continuing education units.

Music, Creativity & Wellness - 2 day training
Discover the transformative potential in music in this two day training. Learn how to use music to explore inner wisdom for enhancing self-awareness, creativity & wellness.

This training would appeal to:

You will learn how to:
*Connect with the qualities in music that evoke healing and creativity
*Use music as a homeopathic approach in healing
*Identify the types of imagery experience evoked by specific music
*Facilitate a music and imagery session with supervised practice
*Integrate mandalas as a tool for self-discovery

April 25-26, 2008, in Charlottesville, Virginia
Class size limited to 12. Cost for the training and materials is $395.
